.My Unique Perspective

We all perceive the world through our own distinct lens—so do I.

My particular focus is on the foundational step of critical thinking: the ability to assess reality. Over the past dozen years, I’ve observed how this skill has directly influenced group decision-making in American society, especially under stress.

A similar analysis was explored by Professor Irving Janis in his seminal work, Groupthink. As pilots, we rely on a comparable mindset—one rooted in situational awareness—to ensure safe landings.

My professional background includes navigating complex industrial relationships, particularly the consequences of rigid union and management mentalities. I’ve also had the privilege of working for a great American company, an experience that has deeply shaped my perspective.

My analytical approach isn’t rooted in political science—it’s sociology with a sharp edge and a sense of urgency.

My motivation is simple: It’s not about you or me. It’s about the world we are leaving behind. I feel a deep responsibility for the future my two precious granddaughters will inherit.

Dark Money & Dark Data

The first step in critical thinking and situational awareness is the pursuit of reality—the search for truth.

Reality is often fluid, but the pursuit of truth should not be.

Sometimes, truth and reality are harsh. In the short term, denying them—clinging to dark data—may seem comforting. But in the long run, this avoidance only amplifies risk.

In today’s digital age, however, deliberately distorting reality or manipulating the truth—creating dark data—has become immensely profitable.

Since the rise of the internet, under the banner of free speech and liberty, many influential white men have stripped away the guardrails of intelligent, truthful discourse—amassing vast wealth in the process. Is this the resurgence of the “good ol’ boy network”? Or is it simply greed? Or both?
